WHAT SIZE TENT DO I NEED?
It depends on many variables. Based on your answers to a set of standard questions, we can make a preliminary tent recommendation.


WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A STANDARD TENT AND A WEDDING TENT?
Our standard tents may be any color of top and are used for a variety of occasions whereas our wedding tents are guaranteed to be all white in color and are used for weddings only.


WHEN DO YOU SET UP FOR WEDDINGS?
If the wedding is on private property, we typically set up on the Wednesday or sometimes the Thursday before the event (assuming the event is on a Saturday).  This gives you extra time to do any final decorations or other preparation for your big event.  Also, removes one additional item of stress from your busy wedding day.  There is no extra charge for this early set up.  If the wedding is held at a public park or other public area, we work within the guidelines allowed by the park and your needs.

DO YOU PROVIDE ONE DAY RENTAL PRICING?
Due to our scheduling, all rentals are per event, up to seven (7) days.  We have found that this system works the best for the majority of our customers and eliminates confusion in regards to the actual price of the rental.

CAN THE TENT BE SETUP WITHOUT STAKING?
In some cases, yes.  We can better advise you after a free site review.


ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN CHARGES WITH MY RENTAL FROM JOPLIN TENT?
No, every charge is given to you up front. When renting from Joplin Tent Rentals, you get the confidence and peace-of-mind to know exactly what you are paying, before we begin.  This is any reason that Joplin Tent Rentals does not provide one-day or tiered pricing levels.

HOW CAN I DETERMINE WHAT SIZE TENT I NEED?

Please see our seating guide to help give you a general idea of the size of tent you need.  This is a general guide that should be used to get a basic idea of the tent size you need.  You will probably need to factor in the types of activities you would like at your event.  For example, if you would like a dance floor under the tent, you will need a little bigger tent.  Other activities typically under the tent include a buffet table, cake table, gift table, stage for wedding party, DJ and many more activities.


CAN YOU PUT A TENT ON A DECK?
Yes. The size may be restricted by elements surrounding the tent such as railings, light fixtures, etc.  A site review is always required for installation on a deck.


DO YOU PROVIDE FURNITURE?
Yes. We maintain a large inventory of banquet tables and folding chairs to accessorize your tent.


DO YOU SET-UP THE FURNITURE?
Furniture is rented as a "tailgate delivery".  In other words, the furniture is delivered to your site and placed under the tent. There is a separate charge for setup.

DO TENTS COME WITH FLAPS?
Yes, but we refer to them as walls.  The walls are added to the tent after it is setup. They can be rolled up and tied to provide an open tent and dropped during the function if the need arises.


WHAT COLOR DO TENTS COME IN?
Tents come in a variety of colors, however our inventory is predominantly white.


WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A POLE TENT & A FRAME TENT?

A pole tent is the type of tent you may have seen if you ever attended a circus.  It has one or more long poles in the center of the tent and depending on the size, can also have quarter poles.  A frame tent has no center poles so it provides full use of the space under the tent.  Frame tents are traditionally more labor-intensive to install, so, in most cases, you will find the rental cost higher than a conventional pole tent.


DO YOU OFFER HEATED TENTS?

Tents themselves are not heated, but we can provide heat for a tent during colder seasons.  In fact, we install many tents on decks during the holidays to help our customers expand their somewhat limited living space.

DO YOU PROVIDE LIGHTING?

Yes. We maintain an inventory of various lighting styles to further enhance your tent.   You can see photos elsewhere on our website.


WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN AWNING & A TENT?

An awning is usually a permanent fixture that is attached to a structure such as a home or a building. Some awnings are removed from the building in winter months and stored until spring when they are "rehung".


WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CANOPY & A TENT?

A canopy is a lighter-duty tent that can be installed by the customer.  Traditionally, walls are not included with canopies.  Canopies are usually less expensive to rent because they do not require professional installation.  


WHAT ARE THE Delivery OPTIONS?
Delivery and pickup are available at reasonable rates. Please call for the delivery charge in your area. Normal hours for delivery/pickup are Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Other delivery/pickup times can be arranged for an additional charge.  Deliveries are made to a dock, garage, or area readily accessible to our trucks. For pickups, all rental items should be sacked in the same place and manner in which they were delivered.

DO YOU OFFER SETUP AND TAKEDOWN OF TABLES AND CHAIRS?
We can setup and takedown tables and chairs at an additional charge.  Advance arrangements must be made for this service.  

ARE ITEMS AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP?
You are welcome to pickup your items at our showroom.  All orders to be picked up should be placed at least 24 hours in advance, however we will always try to accommodate you, if at all possible.


HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO ORDER?
We recommend reserving your items as early as possible to insure availability. We will make every effort to provide items at the last minute.

Is there a minimum order?
No, Joplin Tent Rentals is here to service all events, large and small.  

What is the down payment required to reserve a tent and/OR accessories?
Due to certain past events, Joplin Tent now requires a 20% nonrefundable deposit to secure rentals that are booked in advance.  Once the nonrefundable down payment is received, we will send the confirmation of your rental.  You are still free to make adjustments to your order, at any time, up to one week prior to the event.  We highly regret the necessity to have to implement this charge.
